How to Install Wordpress

Wordpress is a powerful blogging software and Content Management System (CMS).

You can easily install Wordpress from our 1-click installer on any Solutionz-eWeb package.

To install Wordpress:
  1. Log in to your Control Panel (cPanel)
  2. Under Popular Tools, click on 1-click Apps Installer
  3. Under Top Scripts, hover over Wordpress logo and click on Install button. You can also find Wordpress under the Blog category using the left navigation menu.
  4. Under Software Setup, choose procotol: http:// (you can select https:// if you have purchased and installed an SSL certificate on your account)
  5. Select the domain you'd like to install Wordpress in, under Choose Domain.
  6. If you want to install Wordpress in a subfolder, type it into In Directory. We recommend you leave this field blank if you want Wordpress installed on your main domain.
  7. Under Site Settings, enter a descriptive Site Name and Site Description (you will be able to change this later).
  8. If you will manage multiple websites from the same Wordpress installation, you can select to Enable Multisite (WPMU), but this option is not recommended unless you are a power-user.
  9. Under Admin Account, enter an Admin Username and Password of your choosing, as well as your email address. These will be the login credentials for your new Wordpress installation, so make sure to remember them or to store them somewhere safe.
  10. Select the primary language of your Wordpress.
  11. Under Select Plugins, we recommend that you activate Limit Login Attempts plugin.
  12. Under Advanced Options, we recommend that you activate Auto UpgradeAuto Upgrade WordPress Plugins and Auto Upgrade WordPress Themes for maximum security (leave the other options in their default state)
  13. Under Select Theme, we recommend you keep the default theme as you will be able to select another theme from within Wordpress once installed.
  14. Before clicking Install, we recommend you enter your email address in the Email installation details to field, so that you receive all your Wordpress installation details by email. Keep this email in a safe place!
  15. Click Install and wait a few minutes for Wordpress to finish installing

Once installed, you'll be shown the Wordpress admin link. This will normally look like yourdomain.com/wp-admin. Log in to start using your new installation.
